Chester FC forward Amy Broomhead highlighted that she has now given manager Martin Fitzsimons a selection dilemma ahead of next week, after coming off the bench and grabbing two goals as Chester moved up third place in the table following a 5-3 win at Wythenshawe.
Broomhead was introduced with half an hour to go in the game with the score level at 3-3, the forward would go on to score two quickfire goals in six minutes to give Chester all three points.
Speaking to SealsTalk after the game, the super sub expressed her delight at making an impact from the bench and being back amongst the goals. When asked about her performance she replied.
" Yeah it was good to get on and make an impact get the two goals, I like to be back in the goals so that's all good"
Chester's number 14 believes her performance on Sunday has given a good chance of starting next weekend against Altrincham.
" Yeah hopefully, hopefully I put out a statement today for everyone to see, we'll just have to see what the week brings. she said
The forward highlighted Chester's bounce-back ability, after going 2-1 down just before half time the team rallied and grabbed an equalizer to go in level at the break, something she was very impressed with.
" Yeah, I think it was a good comeback, there were spells in the game where we weren't quite on top. But I think we brought it back well quite well and at the end, we finished well so that's the main thing ".
When asked if today's win against Wythenshawe will help boost the teams' confidence going forward she replied.
" Yeah hopefully, because that's two wins on the bounce now so it will help maintain momentum moving forward and carry this on for the rest of the season".
