With the Seals currently occupying 3rd place in the league table at the halfway point of the season, signs are looking good after only three defeats. Here's a detailed look at the key games the Blues will face in the second half of the season.

TBC, Curzon Ashton FC Women (H)

Previous Result: 3-0 (L)

The first league game of the new year sees the Blues come up against 2nd placed Curzon Ashton at home, Curzon inflicted Chester's first defeat of the season following a 3-0 loss in early October.

The Seals will be out for revenge following the defeat and will be looking to close the gap on their rivals in the season run-in. Chester boasts a brilliant home record having only lost once at home all season so far, so will be looking to make it a tough game when the game comes around.

Whereas Curzon Ashton currently have three games in hand over Chester having only played seven games with a brilliant record of six wins from seven and only defeat. That defeat coming against the top of the league Salford.

Curzon have won both of their games on the road this season and will be hoping this run continues in 4 weeks time. It has all the ingredients for a classic.

Sunday 2nd February, Liverpool Feds Women (H)

Previous Result: 1-2 (W)

Two months into the new year Chester welcome Liverpool Feds to Ellesmere Port Sports Village having won the reverse fixture 2-1 away from home. Liverpool Feds are currently in ninth place with only one win in eleven games and nine defeats accumulating to just four points.

Chester should have the upper hand going into this and will look to us their league position as an advantage. The Feds currently have a goal difference record of -51 having conceded a huge 69 goals in just eleven games.

Sunday 1st March, Warrington Wolverines FC Women

Previous Result: 2-2 (D)

Approaching the end of the season the Seals travel away to 4th place Warrington Wolverines who sit just two points behind at present. In the reverse fixture a few weeks ago the Blues surrendered a 2-0 lead at half time to only come away with one point, something which in truth should have been a whole lot more.

Warrington currently have only suffered defeat twice both of them coming against Curzon Ashton. Although they have only won once at home this season, something Chester could take advantage of. Could the reverse fixture bring more drama from the first? we certainly hope so.
