The North West Women's Regional League went ahead at the weekend, despite fears of the spreading of Coronavirus, as Chester and Warrington played out an entertaining 3-3 draw.
However, the league was one of very few to go-ahead after leagues were suspended across the UK, including the Cheshire FA announcing that all cup competitions would be postponed 'till April 3rd.
The league released a statement on Saturday, explaining that last weekend's games would go-ahead until they were told otherwise.
"Unless told otherwise its business as usual for us," they said. "But if we do get a further direction then we will let everyone know through FULL-TIME, the message will be posted on the League's website and kept as up to date as possible.
"The League's Management Committee are meeting next Tuesday night which will give us chance to assess how Sunday went."
"In summary It's business as usual for us but if we do get a further direction from the FA we will let you know, watch this space, otherwise be sensible and safe."
Chester FC Women's and all fellow league teams will be awaiting the decision of the league or any other announcements as they look to finish off the remainder of the season.
