Chester FC Women exit the Argyle Cup in the first round at the hands of Manchester Stingers.
The Seals largely matched their opponents, who play in a league above, and could have got more from the game if chances had gone their way.
On the flip side Liv Cooke's impressive performance in goal prevented Stingers from furthering their lead throughout the afternoon.
There was little the keeper could do to keep out the two goals as she looks to get back to playing regular football, after injuries have kept her out of the side in recent games.
