Chester FC Women's game against Didsbury FC Ladies 1 has been postponed after a failed pitch inspection.

After heavy rain over night and throughout the morning the home club took the decision that Didsbury Sports Ground's surface was unplayable.

The inspection took place at 11:45 AM, with the fixture due to take place at 2:00 PM.

Chester are now level on games with Warrington Wolverines as the two Cheshire clubs battle for position. The Wolverines are now two points above the Seals after drawing 0-0 against Northwich Vixens First Women and gives the Seals chance to overtake their rivals when they play each other next month.

The fixture against Didsbury will be rearranged to a later date, as the two sides are still yet to play each other in this league campaign. Both home and away ties will be in the pipeline for Martin Fitzsimons' side, as we approach the back end of the season.

The Blues now look ahead to next weekend's league game against West Kirby, a side they knocked out of the Cheshire Cup in their last match.

In the meantime check out are match package from the last time the Seals played West Kirby to get you in the mood for the upcoming rematch.
