1. Jones impresses again. After impressiing off the bench against Stockport Ladies, new signing Anna Jones was awarded a first start by manager Martin Fitzsimons', a decison Fitzsimons' will look back on fondley. Jones was a constant threat going forward for the Blues grabbing two goals on the day- her first for the club. The Welsh born winger will look to carry on her impressive start next week when Chester travel to local rivals Warrington Wolverines, a game that will have impictaions for both sides come the end of the season. Fitzsimons' spoke highley of Jones following the Blues 6-2 win against Didsbury, "She's a fantastic player, it's a testament to her because she travels a long way".
2. Chester's resilience burns strong. Not for the first time this season, Chester found themselves behind in a game in which they had dominated from the start. A mistake at the back from keeper Charlie Wearing was punished by Didsbury and they took an undesearved lead. But Chester side has a never say die attitude about them and quickly responded with a brilliant goal from Ashleigh Bullock, the midfielder picked the ball up drove at the defence and struck an effort into the bottom corner, Anna Jones made it 2-1 at the break. Didsbury levelled the game shortly after, but Chester took a firm grip of the game and finished with a flurish scoring 4 times in the final 20 minutes to cap a 6-2 victory.
3. Light at the end of the tunnel for Amy Broomhead. it's been a tough couple of months for Chester forward Amy Broomhead, after scoring a brace from the bench against Wythenshawe in late November the striker had failed to register a goal for Chester a run streching to nearly 10 games. But it hasn't been due to the lack of trying from Broomhead, even though the goals had dried up effort always remaned at 100% for the team. But against Didbsury the moment finally came for Broomhead, after being played through one v one she calmly slotted the ball past the keeper a huge sie of reiief for manager Fitzsimons' who was over the moon for Chester's striker. " I don't think I've celebrated a goal more this season, she deserves it. She's worked really hard for it everyting she does she produces quality, so I'm really pleased for her".
