Chester FC Women jumped up to third place in the league four points behind second placed Curzon Ashton FC Women with a 5-3 win away to bottom placed Wythenshawe AFC.
Chester made it back to back five goal hauls after a comfortable 5-0 win in the cup against Ashville Ladies.
Bullock played an important part in the win with her first brace of the season.
However, she is calling for this level of consistency for the team to flourish and finish the league strong.
“We need to stay consistent; we need to keep getting the goals, the away wins and home wins and keep doing our best” said Bullock.
“I don’t know why it took us so long to get into the game. But it happens every time and we get our goals going and we start to flow into the game. After each goal they scored we were able to get the ball back and score again so it worked out in the end.”
The midfield maestro highlighted how Chester’s style of play was pivotal in picking up the win against Wythenshawe. All afternoon the Seals utilised the pace they possess and penetrated their opponent’s back line. However, they struggled to kill the game off as the offside flag stood in their way of an emphatic victory.
“Our counterattack is always very quick, we're lucky with our front four that we have speed in behind, so were able to cut off the defence and run in behind them.
“Their high line was ridiculous, every time we kept on trying to get in behind it was offside. We had to plan our runs quicker, it was easy for P (Sarah Gill) to lay it off and me and Smithy (Amy Smith) to run around (the defence) like our coach said and it worked perfect in the end.”
As for Chester’s number eight she was delighted with her brace, something she confesses doesn’t happen too often.
“I’m buzzing, I don’t usually score so it’s good to get on the score sheet for once and to get the first goal to get ahead which was perfect”.
Up next for Chester is a home fixture against Altrincham FC Ladies, as they look to maintain their good form.
