Chester FC Women take on Stockport County Ladies this Sunday in the quarter final of the Cheshire County Cup.
Chester were scheduled to play Stockport last gameweek, but got postponed due to a waterlogged pitch. Storm Dennis caused cancellations across the country, as the Chester County Cricket Club was deemed unfit to host the tie.
The match has become an away game now for the Seals as the new venue is Stockport Sports Village. There was some initial confusion with who the Blues' opponents this weekend were, with the FA website stating Chester were playing Didsbury and Warrington Wolves.
This issue was cleared up earlier in the week as Martin Fitzsimons' side will be looking to carry on their good run in the cup after defeating West Kirby 3-1 last time out. However, both sides have struggled recently with each team on a run of only one win in five games.
The Seals have been boosted by the signing of Anna Jones from Welsh Premier League side Llandudno Ladies FC. She will be hoping to get her first appearance against a Stockport side who play in the division above. Chester have struggled against higher opposition this season losing to Manchester Stingers in the Argyle Sports Kit North West Regional Cup and The New Saints Ladies in a friendly.
The Blues will be hoping to book their place in the semi finals, like they did last season, before crashing out to Crewe Alexandra Ladies. Similarly, Stockport got into the last four last campaign, but came up short against Tranmere Rovers Ladies.
Sunday's fixture is set to be an entertaining tie as both sides look to take one step closer to lifting the cup.
