Chester FC Women's quarter final fixture in the Cheshire County Cup fell to treacherous weather conditions, as the game against Stockport County got postponed.

The decision was made Saturday afternoon with significant flooding at Chester County Offices Cricket Club making the match unplayable.

Britain has been hit by back-to-back storms, with numerous sporting events being called off around the country.

As for Chester they have struggled for consistent play time since the winter break, with no fixture last weekend and a recent postponement at Didsbury.

The Blues have only played two league fixtures all year, as this cup game will have to be rearranged and fit in to the already congested fixture list, as we approach the latter stage of the season.

Martin Fitzsimons' side currently sit in fourth place as next up for the Seals is a league fixture against Didsbury Ladies, a side Chester have yet to play this season.

Check out the highlights from the Blues' last game against West Kirby below.
