Chester FC Women are looking to bounce back with a cup upset this weekend as they take on Manchester Stingers in the Argyle Sports Cup first round.

The game is the second of four straight home games for the Blues following the winter break and after a disappointing defeat against Liverpool Feds, Martin Fitzsimons' side will be fully focused for the league cup tie.

Last season, Chester made it to the quarter finals of the Argyle Sports Cup defeating Blackpool FC and Northwich Vixens in the process, in a run that will give the team confidence heading in to this tough encounter.

STAT ATTACK: The blues have only failed to score in one home game all season, scoring 18 goals in 6 games in all competitions.

Manchester Stingers currently play in the league above the Seals, sitting in fourth place in the North West Women's Regional League Premier from nine league games.

However, the Stingers have only won one of their five away league games drawing three and losing one on the road this season.
