Chester FC midfielder Rachel Lever expressed her desire to always come out on top following The Blues 5-0 win against Ashville on Sunday.
Lever has been instrumental for Chester this season in front of goal, scoring eight goals in all competitions helping The Seals push up the table.
Speaking to SealsTalk after the game, Lever highlighted the importance of getting on the front foot following a goalless first half.
'I think it was much better in the second half we picked it up and raised the tempo a bit more, the first half was a bit slow and it just wasn't there in the first half'.
'They (Ashville) put up a good fight to be fair they are two league's below us, so we just had to work at half time on how to break them down'

Lever believes that the performances have been there in recent weeks following last weeks 2-2 draw with Warrington and thinks that the points will soon follow.
'The performance came but the result didn't, this week the second-half display was miles better and the result came with it so it will eventually pay off for us'.
.Speaking about the team's performance, Lever highlighted that a win for the team ranks much higher than individual awards.
'I don't set myself targets to be honest, I come out every week to win I don't come out to lose I never have done since I started playing football.
'If I score i score if I set one up I set one up, at the end of the game it's a team game and If we win I'm happy with that'.

The midfielders performance didn't go unnoticed by Chester FC manager Martin Fitzsimons after a goalless first half Lever was asked to push further up the field to help break the defence something she managed to do twice.
'Rachel Lever back on the score sheet again, she hates it when she doesn't score so she'll be happy with the goals she got today'.
