Anna Jones: I've fit in quickly

Chester's newest recruit Anna Jones has endured a lot in her first few games in a Chester shirt.

To start with, making her debut off the bench in a brutal defeat to Stockport County in the Cheshire cup, as the Blues were outclassed on the day.

From that to scoring twice, being in the wars and winning player of the match in her home debut against Didsbury in Chester's last league outing.

The blues winger has really enjoyed the start of her career with the team, embracing the early challenges.

“It’s been good, I’ve really enjoyed the games," she said.

"I feel like I’ve fit in quickly and the girls have been really good on and off the pitch."

Jones feels like she's started to developed early chemistry with her team-mates on and off the pitch.

One of the key reasons for this is manager Martin Fitzsimons inviting Jones along to training in January, whilst the club waited on international clearance to announce the signing.

"I’ve been training for about six weeks now which has really helped," said Anna Jones.

The early chemistry really came to light in the Seals' last fixture, where they smashed league rivals Didsbury 6-2, with Jones heavily involved with a brace.

“It was really nice to score (against Didsbury) and get the three points," she said.

"It was a really enjoyable game, I got a lot of the ball and was enjoying running down the wing."

Manager Martin Fitzsimons will be hoping Jones can put in a similar display on Sunday as the Blues take on Warrington Wolverines in the clash for third place in the league.
