Hannah Snape has made an impressive start to life at Chester FC Women with three high quality performances under her belt. It’s obvious the 16-year-old is an incredibly talented footballer with excellent technique and composure.
In her opening few games she has dictated play in the middle of the park and played with a high level of maturity despite her age. Snape made her debut in the 2-0 league defeat against Altrincham and looked as if she had been with the team all season.
Her 90 minutes against The New Saints Ladies is where her quality really shined through against a side divisions above the Seals. The ability to drive forward with the ball and be a creator for the Blues was evident.
She particularly caught the eye of her teammate Abi France, who was impressed with her colleague and the different attributes she possessed.
“She’s the youngest player and she has really stepped up today and put in some really good tackles. She had the ability to switch around and play wide and put the balls in and she made such a difference” said France.
Manager Martin Fitzsimons echoed the thoughts of France and has tipped Snape to be ‘an amazing player’ for Chester.
“Hannah was absolutely fantastic, she played with a maturity. She set the tempo for us and knows when to take two touches, one touch, when to hold it up or flick it round the corner to release someone. She’s only 16 and she will be an amazing player for us in the future” said Fitzsimons.
The midfielder replaced Amy Smith after her bad injury against West Kirby and wasted no time in taking control of the game and was a massive threat.
Chester will be looking towards the 16-year-old to replace the injured Smith and off the basis of her first three appearances the future is looking bright for the talented teen.
