Chester FC Women's manager Martin Fitzsimons spoke ahead of the Blues' visit to Warrington Wolves this Sunday at Tetley Walker Recreation Ground.
Last time out, Chester threw away a two-goal advantage at home vs Warrington, to draw 2-2, with goals coming from the injured Amy Smith and player/coach Sarah Gill.
The seals gaffer spoke of his frustration at not securing all three points in the last outing, in what is sure to be an entertaining clash as Chester sit just two points ahead of their opponents.
"It’s going to be a tough game," said Fitzsimons, "In the first game we felt like we should’ve won being two nil up and then coming out with a draw.
"At the end of the game we felt really hard done by and that we were good value for a win, so we’ll be out to put that right this time round."
Check out the highlights from the reverse fixture earlier this season:
The hosts on Sunday currently have two games in hand on the visitors, meaning Chester must get a positive result in order to stay ahead of the Wolverines in the North West Regional Division One South.
The Blues boss knows his side need to be a lot more ruthless in the second encounter and cut out any individual mistakes which let Warrington back in the game last time out.
"We must make sure we get the same quality of performance," he said, "but hopefully without the errors that cost us in the first game.
“We'll play the same as always. Plenty of attacking flair, looking to go forward at every opportunity and an intelligent game as well, in terms of when and how we press."
A boost for Chester this time out will no doubt be with the additions of Hannah Snape and Anna Jones, who weren't involved with the team when the two sides met earlier this season.
Both players have made a huge impact in recent times, both starting in the 6-2 demolishing of Didsbury in the most recent game for the Seals, which could make the all important difference come Sunday.
